SBB announces The Fort Wayne Purple Cow-abunga Contest!

Yesterday's post about the demise of the Fox and Hound Pub & Grille has stimulated some good online and offline conversations about purple cows in Fort Wayne. To help generate even more discussion, SBB is announcing The Fort Wayne Purple Cow-abunga Contest!

What do you have to do to win? E-mail me (ajjuliano@gmail.com) your single favorite Fort Wayne purple cow product, service, or place, and why you think it's remarkable by no later than 5 p.m. on February 29* (only one entry per person, so make it good). We'll post the best submissions, but there's more: at the end of the contest, we'll choose one lucky winner who best describes his or her favorite Fort Wayne sacred cow.

What will you win? Well, that depends: if we can get Marketing Guru Seth Godin to donate a signed copy of his great book Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable, you'll win that. If we can't, then you'll still get a copy of the book, but it will be the most inexpensive-yet-still-coffee-table-worthy used version we can find. (And we'll still say great things about Seth, although the things we say about him will improve exponentially if he responds, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.)

So herd those cows and send them our way. And nudge Seth, while you’re at it. The book donation you generate just might be your own.

Good luck!

What's a purple cow, you ask?

*A purple cow kind-of-date, so remarkable that it only arrives once every four years
